Oki, Danit'ada, Âba wathtec, Tânisi, Taanishi, Bonjour, Hello, Bob Edwards Community,
Contact your child’s teachers here: Our Staff. Your child’s homeroom teacher is the best first point of contact for any questions or concerns. Speaking directly to those most closely involved is more effective, efficient and timely. Communication with parents, students, and community members is always welcome. Email is the preferred method of communication.

UPDATE: Grade 9 Field Trip to Vertigo Theatre
Parents and Guardians of Grade 9 students.
There has been a change of plans for our planned field trip to Vertigo Theatre. Late-posted advisories made our original choice unsuitable, so we are exploring other options with Vertigo Theatre (or other theatre offerings in the city).
Students will not be attending Vertigo Theatre this coming week. We will be letting you know as soon as we have an alternate plan.
Thanks for understanding as we work to ensure the best live-theatre experience for our classes.

Athletics Updates
Please see the Athletics page of our school website for all Athletic Updates. The Physical Education teachers have also put together a Physical Education website, available here.
For all sports, please note that CBE middle schools have set similar expectations for games that promote safety, respect, and a positive experience for all. They include:
- All visiting student spectators/athletes must be under the direct supervision of a designated adult for the duration of the games.
- There are no in-and-out privileges for spectators. If you leave the building, you should not re-enter.
- Student cell phones must remain in bags. Students cannot take photos or record videos. This is a privacy concern for the athletes from all teams.
- Parents are asked to be mindful when taking photos or videos of their child. The privacy of other student-athletes should be considered.
- All spectators - students or adults - are expected to cheer and support players/coaches/referees/parents/guardians positively.
- The school administration will address disrespectful behaviour promptly and may direct spectators to leave the game and the school building.
- Parents/guardians who bring younger children are always responsible for their direct supervision. Please ensure that they are not wandering the halls and playing on the equipment in the gym.
- These expectations have been reviewed with all our students in school. Please review with your student(s) as well. We thank you in advance for your ongoing support.
Weather Reminders
This time of year means the regular transition between warm and cold weather. Please help your student come to school prepared for the weather over the next several weeks.
- Please ensure your child is prepared with outdoor clothing and footwear for all weather conditions.
- All students enjoy 20 minutes of fresh air at lunch (weather permitting) and some physical education classes outside, and this time is much more enjoyable if they are dressed for the weather.
- Families are encouraged to review this checklist to be prepared for using transportation every school day and throughout the school year. Transportation Family Checklist
- Please ensure your child is prepared with outdoor clothing and footwear for all weather conditions.
- Students should not arrive at school before 8:55 a.m. (Soft entry starts at 9:03 a.m.)
- Students must be picked up from school by 4:00 p.m.
Parking Reminders
- Please do not park or drop off students in the bus zone in front of the school between 7 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- We now have 5 school buses at Bob Edwards School, and they need the space to operate safely.
- Please do not drop off or pick up your child from the staff parking lot.
Wishing you all a restorative weekend!
