Please Note | Food Delivery Services
Please note that we cannot accommodate lunches for students dropped off by food delivery services. (Skip The Dishes, Door Dash, etc.) We have noticed a great increase in this over the last few weeks. Thank you for not using food delivery services for your child.
An option that we do have is Healthy Hunger lunches that happen every Friday. As a bonus, participating in Healthy Hunger directly benefits our school programs. (Order for future dates here: https://healthyhunger.ca/) Upcoming Healthy Hunger Fun Lunches are February 21: Booster Juice; March 7: Fat Burger; March 14: Coco Brooks Pizza. There are many dates set up for the rest of the school year as well!

Action Required | School Planning Survey | Parent Engagement
As part of the engagement with our school community, we are gathering parent input for the current school year and initial considerations for the 2024-2025 school year. The planning we are engaged in this spring includes making decisions around student learning and staffing, budget and school fees for next year, and items specific to the programs that we offer.
We hope you can take the time to engage in the survey. The initial data generated will be shared back with our parent community at the April Parent Council Meeting. The data will also be shared with the CBE (Calgary Board of Education) who make decisions specific to our school and the programs we offer.
Please use this link to complete the survey. The survey goes live on February 1, 2025, and will be open until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2025.

Weather Reminders
We want to remind students to bring appropriate winter clothing with them to school each day. Students spend half of their lunch break outside. The CBE weather guidelines allow for students to be outside in air temperatures equal to or warmer than -20C, or above -25C with the wind chill.
- Families are encouraged to review this checklist to be prepared for using transportation every school day and throughout the school year. Transportation Family Checklist
- Please ensure your child is prepared with outdoor clothing and footwear for all weather conditions.
- All students enjoy 20 minutes of fresh air at lunch (weather permitting) and some physical education classes outside and this time is much more enjoyable if they are dressed for the weather.
- Students should not arrive at school before 8:40 a.m.
- Students must be picked up from school by 3:40 p.m. There is no supervision provided outside of these times.
PLEASE NOTE: Siblings are not permitted to wait for another sibling in an athletic practice or game as there is no supervision provided for siblings who are not engaged in a teacher-supervised activity.
Parking Reminders
- Please do not park or drop off students in the bus zone between 7 a.m. – and 5:00 p.m.
- Please do not drop off or pick up your child from the staff parking lot.
- Please always use the marked crosswalks. (No jaywalking)
Have a nice weekend,
Bob Edwards School
