Looking Forward: Bob Edwards School Calendar
May 6 – 10, 2024 marks Teacher Appreciation Week, a special time to acknowledge and celebrate the incredible contributions of our educators. Teachers play a pivotal role in nurturing and developing the minds of our children, and this week offers a wonderful opportunity to express our gratitude. Thank you in advance to the Bob Edwards School Council for providing daily treats to our teachers and staff next week!

May 15, 2024 – Grade 6 English Language Arts and Literature Field Test
What is a field test? Field tests help inform the development of future PATs for Grade 6 in ELAL, FILAL, and Mathematics that align with the new curriculum in these subjects.
May 16, 2024 – Grade 9 French Language Arts Provincial Achievement Test Partie A

School Council and Parent Society
Bob Edwards School and the School Council and Parent Society meet monthly (approximately) to build and strengthen our partnership, discuss student learning, and consult on decisions impactful to our school community. We meet in the Learning Commons at Bob Edwards School on the second last Tuesday of most months at 6:30 P.M. Parents and guardians in our school community are welcome to join. The seventh School Council meeting of the 2023-24 school year will be on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 6:30 PM. The Bob Edwards School Council can be reached at bobeparentsfundraisingsociety@gmail.com

Parking Reminders
- Please do not park in front of the school in the bus zone between 7 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Please do not drop off or pick up your child from the staff parking lot.
Weather Reminders
This time of year means the regular transition between warm and cold weather. Please help your student to come to school prepared for the weather over the next several weeks.
- Please ensure your child is prepared with outdoor clothing and footwear for all weather conditions.
- All students enjoy 20 minutes of fresh air at lunch (weather permitting) and some physical education classes outside and this time is much more enjoyable if they are dressed for the weather.
- Students should not arrive at school before 8:40 am
- Students must be picked up from school by 3:40 pm (There is no supervision outside these times.)
