Apply Now for Yellow School Bus Service for 2026-2027
Families are now able to apply for yellow school bus service for the 2026-27 school year. Service levels and fees are outlined below. Registration is available through your MyCBE account. (If you do not already have an account, learn how.)
Families must apply by Sunday, June 14, 2026, for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year. We continue to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing bus stop with available space. Processing times for registrations submitted after the June 14 deadline will be delayed. It may take until mid-October before your child can ride the bus.
Confirmed routes will be posted in MyCBE in August.

Provincial Achievement Tests (PATs): Grade 6 & 9
In May and June of this year, Grade 6 and 9 students across the province will participate
in the Provincial Achievement Tests (PATs) using the Digital Assessment
Platform (Vretta). Students in Grades 6 and 9 will complete PATs in English
Language Arts, French Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
Grade 6
· Science: Friday, June 12
· Math Part A: Monday, June 15
· Math Part B: Thursday, June 18
Grade 9
· Grade 9 FLA Part B: Monday, June 8
· Grade 9 ELA Part B: Tuesday, June 9
· Grade 9 Math Part A: Tuesday, June 16
· Grade 9 Math Part B: Friday, June 19
· Grade 9 Social Studies: Monday, June 22
· Grade 9 Science: Tuesday, June 23
Students who are absent on PAT days will complete the assessment when they return to school.
Results from these tests will provide Alberta Education, school administrators,
teachers, parents/guardians, students and the public with information about
what students know and can do in relation to provincial standards at the end of
Grade 6 and 9. Provincial Achievement Tests are based on what students have
been learning throughout the school year.
Healthy Hunger Fun Lunches!
School Council has organized fun lunches for Bob Edwards School through Healthy Hunger. Please order from the Healthy Hunger website. You can find the link on the School Council page of our school website.

Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth
Please find below the registration link for WIN/NOW Summer, which is open to newcomer (Permanent Resident status) students. This program is geared towards students who are new to the Calgary school system, with preference for those who arrived in May 2026 and after.
To help make the program more accessible, the posters have been translated in the following languages and are available on our website: Arabic, Tigrinya, Spanish, Chinese, Pasto, Dari, and Amharic.

Volunteer at Between Friends – Camp Bonaventure!
Between Friends is a non-profit providing inclusive programs for children, youth, and adults with disabilities. Our mission is to build a community where everyone can connect, grow, and belong.
We are currently recruiting Camp Volunteers (ages 12+) for Camp Bonaventure, our inclusive summer day camp for children and youth with disabilities. Camp Bonaventure would not be possible without our dedicated volunteers. Volunteers play an important role in supporting a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all campers.
As a Camp Volunteer, you will:
● Support campers in daily activities
● Participate in fun camp activities like swimming and field trips
● Assist with games, crafts, outdoor play, and themed activities
● Help create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment
Volunteers will also be able to:
● Build leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
● Gain meaningful experience working in an inclusive and supportive setting
● Form genuine friendships and make a lasting impact
● Earn volunteer hours for school requirements

Canadian Parents for French is offering the following program that may be of interest:
Camping en français is a unique opportunity for families to experience French in a fun, welcoming, outdoor environment while connecting with other families from across Alberta. Whether families are brand new to French or have participated for years, the weekend is designed to build positive experiences and confidence using French together. Registration deadline is June 26, 2026.
