Apply Now for Yellow School Bus Service for 2026-2027
Families are now able to apply for yellow school bus service for the 2026-27 school year. Service levels and fees are outlined below. Registration is available through your MyCBE account. (If you do not already have an account, learn how.)
Families must apply by Sunday, June 14, 2026, for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year. We continue to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing bus stop with available space. Processing times for registrations submitted after the June 14 deadline will be delayed. It may take until mid-October before your child can ride the bus.
Confirmed routes will be posted in MyCBE in August.

May 25 – English Language Arts and Literature 6 Provincial Achievement Test
Provincial Achievement Tests (PATs): Grade 6 & 9
In May and June of this year, Grade 6 and 9 students across the province will participate
in the Provincial Achievement Tests (PATs) using the Digital Assessment
Platform (Vretta). Students in Grades 6 and 9 will complete PATs in English
Language Arts, French Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
Grade 6
o ELAL Part A (Written): Monday, May 25.
o ELAL Part B (Reading Comprehension): Thursday, June 4
o Science: Friday, June 12
o Math Part A: Monday, June 15
o Math Part B: Thursday, June 18
Grade 9
o Grade 9 FLA Part B: Monday, June 8
o Grade 9 ELA Part B: Tuesday, June 9
o Grade 9 Math Part A: Tuesday, June 16
o Grade 9 Math Part B: Friday, June 19
o Grade 9 Social Studies: Monday, June 22
o Grade 9 Science: Tuesday, June 23
Students who are absent on PAT days will complete the assessment when they return to school.
Results from these tests will provide Alberta Education, school administrators,
teachers, parents/guardians, students and the public with information about
what students know and can do in relation to provincial standards at the end of
Grade 6 and 9. Provincial Achievement Tests are based on what students have
been learning throughout the school year.
School Council and Parent Society
Bob Edwards School and the School Council, and Parent Society meet monthly (approximately) to build and strengthen our partnership, discuss student learning, and consult on decisions impactful to our community. We meet in the Learning Commons at Bob Edwards School on the last Tuesday of most months at 6:00 p.m. Parents and guardians in our school community are welcome to join. The last School Council meeting of the 2025-26 school year will be on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. The Bob Edwards School Council can be reached at bobeparentsfundraisingsociety@gmail.com

Healthy Hunger Fun Lunches!

Athletics Updates
Badminton season has come to an end, and the Eagles did not disappoint!! All four tournaments at the Genesis Centre this week went extremely well, with excellent results for all! Bob Edwards School received many compliments about our positivity, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Thank you to all the coaches, and thank you to our outstanding students for representing our school so well. Thank you as well to the many families who came out to cheer and encourage our athletes!

Canadian Parents for French is offering the following program that may be of interest:
Camping en français is a unique opportunity for families to experience French in a fun, welcoming, outdoor environment while connecting with other families from across Alberta. Whether families are brand new to French or have participated for years, the weekend is designed to build positive experiences and confidence using French together. Registration deadline is June 26, 2026.
