We meet in the Learning Commons at Bob Edwards School on the last Tuesday of most months at 6:00 p.m. Parents and guardians in our school community are welcome to join. The first School Council meeting of the 2026-27 school year will be on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. The Bob Edwards School Council can be reached at bobeparentsfundraisingsociety@gmail.com
Please come and join this tremendous group with which we enjoy a strong partnership. You don’t need to sign up for any ‘big jobs’, and any member of our community is welcome to attend.
If you cannot join the meeting in person, you have the option of joining via Microsoft Teams: Join the meeting now
Action required | Complete Online Forms by September 14, 2026
Each year, schools have a variety of forms that parents / legal guardians / independent students are required to complete or review and update, some of which are paper and others online.
If you have already completed your annual forms, you can disregard this reminder.
In CBE, the forms in an online format (SchoolEngage) are:
- Demographic Verification - 2026-27 – This required form is an Alberta Education and Childcare requirement as proof of Registration for funding purposes and includes your child’s personal information as well as parent / legal guardian contact information.
- Citizenship Information Update - 2026-27 – This form becomes available and is required to complete if you change your child’s citizenship information on the Demographic Verification form.
- Annual Authorization - 2026-27 – Combines the following forms:
o School District Use of Personal Information - explains how CBE uses personal information in providing education services.
o Consent for CBE Use of Student Information – provides an option to grant / not grant consent for additional use of student information by school/district and third parties.
o Consent for Use of Student Information by News Media and Outside Groups (Third Party) - provides an option to grant / not grant consent for additional use of student information by outside groups and third parties
o Consent for Student Participation in Annual CBE Surveys – these surveys support school and system planning and help improve programs and supports offered to students
o Parental Opt-In for Notifiable curriculum for students in grades 3 to 9 – written consent of parents prior to providing instructions or materials that deal primarily and explicitly with human sexuality, gender identity or sexual orientation. Students are unable to participate in this portion of the curriculum unless consent is granted.
SchoolEngage is one of the applications found in your MyCBE account. This is the same account used to pay fees, view academic information, book school conferences, register to volunteer etc.
If you do not have a MyCBE account, click Create a MyCBE Account on the MyCBE page. For online help, refer to MyCBE - Creating an Account (includes instructions and a video).
To complete these forms:
1. sign in to your MyCBE account
2. click on the SchoolEngage icon
3. select the form
4. complete or review and update the form
5. click on Submit to send the form electronically to the school
6. repeat steps 3-5 for each form
Please submit the Demographic Verification and Annual Authorization forms in SchoolEngage for your child by Monday, Sep. 14. These forms are mandatory every year for Alberta Education and Childcare to confirm student funding.
Meetings with Bob Edwards staff
Our teaching staff is pleased to speak with parents to discuss matters of interest and concern as we believe that clear and respectful communication is a key to academic success for all students. Their email addresses are listed on the Our Staff page on our school website. Please note that teachers cannot take calls or meetings during the school day.
As an administration team, Mrs. Kouperman and Mme Haggar are pleased to speak with parents when issues cannot be resolved with the classroom teacher. They welcome meetings that are pre-arranged. Please contact the office to arrange a meeting time in advance. This allows them to best invest time with you in support of your child, to be prepared for meetings so that the time can be productive, and to best support all Bob Edwards students. Unfortunately, Mrs. Kouperman and Mme Haggar cannot accept "on demand" or drop-in meetings.
Please Note | Food Delivery Services
Please note that we cannot accommodate lunches for students being dropped off by food delivery services. (Skip The Dishes, DoorDash, etc.) Thank you for not using food delivery services for your child.
Athletics Updates
Please see the Athletics page of our school website for all Athletic Updates. The Physical Education teachers have also put together a Physical Education website, available here.
Weather Reminders
This time of year means the regular transition between warm and cold weather. Please help your student come to school prepared for the weather over the next several weeks.
- Please ensure your child is prepared with outdoor clothing and footwear for all weather conditions.
- All students enjoy 20 minutes of fresh air at lunch (weather permitting) and some physical education classes outside, and this time is much more enjoyable if they are dressed for the weather.
- Families are encouraged to review this checklist to be prepared for using transportation every school day and throughout the school year. Transportation Family Checklist
